2009                    Juried National Ceramic Award Exhibition: Portage Awards, Lopdell House, Auckland, NZ

                           Organized symposium: “Exchange” for the Portage Awards Exhibition. 

2008                    Awarded Creative Research Faculty Fellowship, University of Colorado for Residency at Unitec, Auckland, New Zealand.         

2006                    Worked on large public art project: “Rota do Romanico” with eleven other artists in the Sousa Valley, Northern Portugal.

                           Co-Curated and Organized Symposium for “Everyday Masters” exhibition, Boulder Public Library Gallery, Boulder, Colorado. 

2005                    Chosen to design and construct two very large Sculpted Gardens in the Sousa Valley. Funded by the Portuguese Minister of Culture, and the Sousa Valley Romanesque Road Association.

                           CRCW Grant-in-aid, to practice Topiary in Northern Portugal 

2003                    CU Boulder Ceramics Graduate Program is designated the Number Nine program in the Nation

                           (U.S. News & World Report) Ranked again in 2005. This is the second highest ranked graduate program in the entire University, behind Environmental Law.  

2002                    Sabbatical Leave to study Topiary in Portugal, Resulting in one person exhibition. 

2001                    Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant for Portugal Project and Exhibition
